Hi Mike,
this is collie2008 for askville and I joined your site here to find a real work at home job and like the idea of doing surveys on line but I am not sure if this is legit, the surveyscout. At this time I do not have the funds to have to pay to become a member to have a job to do surveys. Is there somewhere else where I can sign up to do surveys or data entry where I dont have to pay a fee. I have never paid a fee to have a job before. Please explain to me why they ask for money to work for them?

Hi Judy,
I will try to explain. The top sites where you have the best chance at making some real money charge a fee for two reasons.
1st is to weed out the not so serious. 2nd is to make money. I can’t blame them, as quite a lot of time goes into these websites and research. Believe me, I know how much time it takes just to run my sites and I don’t make nearly enough from them.
For free survey sites, I choose http://www.surveyteam.com It’s free and I get emails all the time to make $25-$30 for taking free surveys. The only drawback is some of the surveys require a credit card to start free trials. I just make a list of the ones I do, and cancel before the time is up. I have received $40 gift cards, gas cards, cash, etc. Hope this helps, and I will be posting about free survey sites soon for everybody.
